My God, it's full of stars by RGUS My God, it's full of stars by RGUS
If Arthur C Clarke ever discribed the inside of the Monolith from his books and the movies "2001 A Space Odyssey" and "2010 The Year We make Contact", then I imagine it to be similar to this... where as 3rd dimensional beings, we only see the shadow and reflections of our 4th dimensional selves... it's a bit like seeing the shadow on the ground of a 3D object, it's flat, 2 dimensional... just step up one dimension... hurts the head eh! I think, correct me if I'm wrong, Stephen Hawking (English physicist) is up to about 20 different dimensions he's calculated using Quantum Theory and mathematics beyound normal comprehension... but I can't render those... I've only got a flat panel monitor... All pretty heavy stuff eh, well I had to think of something... Used the brilliant free prop from "AGentleMuse"... reflective floor (at Rendo, thanks Jen... awesome), used it twice and spun one of them 90 degrees for a wall... took a high camera angle... added a bit of atmosphere and rendered.... My God... it's full of stars!

To confine our attention to terrestrial matters would be to limit the human spirit.
- Stephen W. Hawking

is it quantum physics time again? darn diddly!!! wake up brain!!!! i really must start a journal about quantum physics in relation to human drama and the awakening of oneself. perhaps even get as far as talking about "the observer" which is perhaps what you're talking about here. just to get down to a level where people could really appreciate it and not be splitting heads lol. anyhoo, back to the render...i cannot imagine how long this one must have taken. what with the volumetrics and the ray tracing - oi, how do you have so much patience? i love this hon, not only because you have incorporated QP into it but it looks so ultra sci-fi and yes, very space oddysey indeed ;)

Great concept and execution. The suit is very well done. I once read everything Clarke wrote; he truly is the Carlos Castaneda of SF. A fourth (spacial) dimension being would see our "insides" as you can see the inside of a circle drawn on paper. M theorists disagree about the total number of spacial dimensions but it seems as though the ten or so "extra" dimensions may be embedded in very small, quanta sized loops. :headache: ask Rain.

This is just awesome, the dual reflection works beautifully here. I bow to your imagination and talent.
